The Tulip Festival with Houston Botanical Gardens
Celebrate tulips on this 7 day river cruise through the Netherlands and Belgium, when the Keukenhof Gardens and Floralia come alive. You and your guests will also see whimsical windmills, discover the timeless traditions of Delft porcelain, and revel in the medieval architectural treasures of Bruges and or Ghent. Throughout the the journey you'll also indulge in Belgian chocolates, warm waffles, and delicious cheeses...all while savoring the storybook atmosphere of the region

Itinerary
Day 1
AMSTERDAM
Board the ship and settle into your room before dinner.
Day 2
AMSTERDAM & KAMPEN
Enjoy the scenery as you cruise to Kampen, where you'll explore the charming village of Giethoorn, also known as the “Dutch Venice.” In the
afternoon, opt for a guided bike ride through the Dutch countryside, or visit Noordoostpolder’s vibrant tulip fields.
Day 3
BRUINISSE
After sailing through the Delta, you can join a tour of the medieval town of Zierikzee, with its 16th century castle and lovely harborside shops and cafes., or tour the Delta Works at the Flood Museum.
Day 4
GHENT
Admire Ghent’s canal-side architecture on a walking tour of the city and its famous sites. Other experiences include a visit to a local chocolate maker's shop, or a full-day tour of Bruges, one of the best-preserved medieval cities in Europe and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Day 5
ANTWERP
Start the day with a walking tour of Antwerp, then visit Groot-Bijgaarden Castle and roam through the Floralia (April), an annual spring flower show featuring approximately one million bulbs that are hand-planted each year by the castle staff. Other tour options include a bike tour or a Belgian chocolate, beer, and waffle tasting.
Day 6
ROTTERDAM
Morning tour options include a walking tour of Rotterdam, an excursion to Delft, or a bike ride through Rotterdam. In the afternoon, visit Kinderdijk, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with the country’s greatest concentration of windmills, all dating from the 18th century, where you'll visit a private windmill via electric boat.
Day 7
AMSTERDAM
End your journey with a visit to Keukenhof, one of the most impressive public gardens in the world, where you'll experience a spectacular display of millions of flowering tulips spread out over 70 acres. Alternatively, you can take a scenic cruise of Amsterdam on a small boat.
Day 8
AMSTERDAM
Take a transfer to the airport and head home, or continue on with a trip extension.

Concierge Travel Planning
Planning and reservation of all itinerary elements, including flights (group and individual), accommodations, custom tours and experiences for the group, and trip extensions for individuals travelers. I also offer marketing support, custom forms, and live documents for hosts.

Trip Organization
& Communication
Each traveler will receive a custom, cobranded digital itinerary with all the details of the trip, including live flight status alerts. The itinerary is available online, via an app, and offline. There is also a group chat feature that the host can send messages through.

I am available to answer questions, handle special requests, and take care of any issues that may arise before, during, and after travel.

As a non-profit board member and lover of plants, I pride myself in giving back to the causes that matter to me. I will pledge a percentage of my commission to the 501(c)3 organization of your choice upon completion of the trip.
